David Sprunt was born and raised in Wilmington. He became a CPA and was the Finance Manager for Bryan Properties, a North Carolina real estate development company based in the Triangle. In 2003, he returned to Wilmington to manage his family’s timberland and commercial real estate, which includes long leaf pine straw harvesting and sales, Venus flytrap plant cultivation and seed sales, leasing and property management, as well as managing the timberland for wildlife, recreational, and conservation purposes.
